In plain English
Repairing the system that carries burnt gases safely away from the engine and cleans them up before they leave the car.
Your exhaust system carries away the harmful gases produced during combustion, keeping the engine running smoothly and efficiently. Maintaining it prevents leaks, excess noise and worsening fuel economy, and it cuts harmful emissions.
Booking
Standard booking for repairs and replacement. Exhaust emissions diagnostics need advance booking so we can schedule the equipment.
Exhaust system and catalytic converter viewed from under a vehicle
Prompt: Photorealistic underside shot of a car exhaust system on a ramp, catalytic converter and pipework in sharp focus with realistic heat discolouration and light surface rust. Directional workshop lighting, dark background. Documentary and honest, no branding.

What's covered
Everything included
Pipes, silencers, catalytic converters and Diesel Particulate Filters are assessed together. Catching issues early prevents leaks, reduces emissions and protects engine performance.
Leaks are located and repaired, keeping harmful gases out of the cabin and cutting the noise, while protecting engine efficiency and the life of everything downstream.
A failing converter is replaced with a quality part to restore emissions control and engine performance, keeping the vehicle compliant with environmental regulations.
Upgrading or replacing the silencer improves exhaust flow, reduces noise and helps engine performance.
Repairing or replacing a damaged manifold restores proper exhaust flow, preventing performance problems and reducing emissions.
Faulty sensors cause poor fuel economy and increased emissions. Replacing worn sensors improves efficiency and restores engine performance.
Worn hangers let the system move excessively and rattle. New hangers provide proper support and reduce stress on the rest of the exhaust.
Performance headers and high-flow catalytic converters, tailored to how you actually use the vehicle.
How we do it
What actually happens
No surprises and no jargon. If we find something else while the car is with us, you get a phone call and a price before a spanner goes near it.
Identifying issues early to prevent leaks, reduce harmful emissions and keep engine performance optimal
Fixing leaks to maintain engine efficiency and prolong the lifespan of exhaust components
Fitting high-quality replacement parts so the vehicle complies with environmental regulations
Replacing worn oxygen sensors that cause poor fuel economy and increased emissions
Ensuring proper support across the system to reduce stress on components
Questions
Exhaust, answered
Often yes. Many exhausts are made up of separate sections, so a single failed silencer, sensor or hanger can be replaced without renewing the whole system. We'll inspect and tell you the smallest repair that properly fixes it.
A Diesel Particulate Filter traps soot from the exhaust. It normally burns that soot off at motorway speeds, so cars used mainly for short, low-speed journeys are far more likely to block. We inspect and service DPFs as part of exhaust work.
The engine uses the oxygen sensor's reading to set the fuel mixture. A worn sensor means poor fuel economy and higher emissions. Replacing it restores efficiency and helps the car pass its emissions check.
Leaks affect both noise and emissions and can allow fumes into the cabin, so they commonly cause a failure. Worth fixing before your test rather than after.
