In plain English
Replacing the belt that keeps the top and bottom of your engine turning in perfect time. It's a scheduled job, because if it snaps the engine usually destroys itself.
The timing belt synchronises the rotation of the engine's camshaft and crankshaft, ensuring precise timing of valves and pistons. Belts wear out over time and can cause serious engine damage if not replaced promptly.
Booking
Standard booking. Call or WhatsApp to schedule a timing belt service and protect the engine before the belt decides for you.
Timing belt, tensioner and pulleys exposed at the front of an engine
Prompt: Photorealistic close-up of an engine front with the timing cover removed, showing the toothed timing belt running over camshaft pulleys and tensioner. Sharp detail on belt teeth, clean mechanical surfaces. Focused directional light, dark surroundings. No branding.

What's covered
Everything included
The belt's condition is assessed for wear or damage that could lead to failure. This is the check that catches the problem while it is still cheap to fix.
Top-quality belts and precise installation keep the engine in sync and avoid the risk of catastrophic failure. This is scheduled work, not reactive work.
Correct tension keeps the belt securely in place, reducing the risk of slippage and damage to vital engine components.
Kits include the tensioners, pulleys and water pump alongside the belt, so the whole timing system is renewed together rather than paying the same labour twice.
Inspection, replacement and adjustment combined into one piece of work, giving the engine's timing system complete cover.
We track your vehicle's schedule and let you know when the next timing belt service is due, so the interval never quietly passes.
How we do it
What actually happens
No surprises and no jargon. If we find something else while the car is with us, you get a phone call and a price before a spanner goes near it.
Assessing belt condition to catch wear before it leads to costly repairs
Adhering to manufacturer-recommended replacement intervals to prevent catastrophic engine failure
Maintaining correct tension to reduce slippage and protect vital engine components
Overhauling the complete timing system for smooth operation and peace of mind
Tracking your maintenance schedule so the engine stays in peak condition year after year
Questions
Timing Belt, answered
On most modern engines the pistons and valves then collide. That usually means bent valves and often far worse, at a repair bill many times the cost of the belt. This is the clearest example in motoring of preventative work costing less than the alternative.
On many engines the water pump is driven by the timing belt and sits behind the same covers. Almost all the cost of the job is labour, so replacing the pump while everything is already apart avoids paying that labour twice.
It is set by the manufacturer, usually by mileage and by age, whichever comes first. Give us your make, model, year and mileage and we will tell you exactly where you stand.
Often none at all, which is exactly why it's replaced on schedule rather than on symptoms. A ticking noise from the front of the engine is worth checking immediately, but don't rely on getting a warning.
